Friends of JCC Budapest

Hungarian Jews are heir to a rich history. But for many years, war and repression forced us to live in silence.  Now things are changing. The children of Holocaust survivors are sharing Jewish traditions with their children. Parents are sending their kids to Jewish day schools. And at JCC Budapest — Bálint Ház, we are leading a Jewish revival in the heart of Europe.

With antisemitism on the rise, these are no small feats; they are acts of courage. JCC Budapest has become the central place where Hungarian Jews embrace their Judaism. The JCC’s welcoming, pluralistic, and highly spirited environment provides an entry point to Jewish education, history, and culture.

But we need your help. Along with Marcell Kenesei, the JCC’s director, and Friends of JCC Budapest, we are working to procure financial support for those enrolled in our current programs, as well as resources for new initiatives. By investing in JCC Budapest, you are investing in the future of Hungarian Jewish life.

Partner with us to show you support the Hungarian Jewish community. Your contribution will send a powerful message that, amidst rising antisemitism, we are undeterred.

Write the next chapter of Jewish history.
